Brief Update - YouTube & Photography Workshop

It’s been a while since I last posted a blog, but winter has been a quiet time for photography and the last few weeks have been mostly wind and rain. But spring is on the way and hopefully a chance for more filming and photography and back into the water.

In the meantime, I’ve been working on a few things. First is setting up a YouTube channel - I’ve been collecting a lot of under- and above water footage over the last year or so with this in mind, but wanted to wait until I had enough material to make a series of short films to start with. The first is up already, on some recent photography in the winter rock pools.

After this I have quite a few other films in the making, including more on Cornwall underwater, guides to photography, and equipment, among other things. I’ve also been playing around with vintage lenses again, including reversing the elements on a Helios 44_2 lens from the late 1970s. It produces some remarkable and somewhat wild results.

Finally, I’m excited that I’ve teamed up DiveUK to offer some underwater photography workshops this summer which are now open to bookings, right here in Cornwall. More information here.
